UTL rMPPT Solar PCU will generate up to 30% more electricity and also will show it Everyday till 31 March 2025.PCU (Power Conditioning Unit) is an integrated unit that consists of a grid charger, inverter, MPPT Solar Charger. It continuously monitors Battery and Solar voltage as well as Grid and Output voltage with their currents. MPPT based Solar charger extracts the maximum power from the solar panels whereby it increases the efficiency of the system. MPPT charger has multistage charging which maintains the battery charging voltage such that it increases the lifespan of the battery.
Alfa+ Solar PCU 5kVA/48V is a Model of Power Conditioning Unit (PCU) which uses Solar (primary) and Grid (secondary), to charge the batteries. Since the usage of power from the grid is secondary, grid power is only used when solar energy is not present and the battery voltage level reduces to 11.5V/Battery (Default 11.5V, Configurable).
Grid power is also needed when solar power generation is less and the battery voltage is reduced to 11.5V/Battery (Default 11.5V, Configurable)
In UTL’s Alfa PCU you have a great feature that is battery selection mode by this we can select any type of battery as per requirement i.e Flat plate/Tubular/SMF/Lead-acid Battery and can set charging voltage and charging current as per requirement.
Operating Mode SelectionUTL PCU is also available with LCD. This is an optional feature that can be availed by the customer for the better user interface. When the customer opts for this feature, an Energy Meter and Data Logging facilities are also provided to the customer, which help the user to access information about the present and past status of the PCU functionality. Gamma PCU feeds the battery installed to it a constant boost charging current until its voltage reaches 14.2V and the float current (which is very close to zero) then maintains this voltage above 13V. Thus reducing the float current ( flowing for the longest period during the entire process) to zero, ultimately resulting in much-enhanced battery life keeping it fully charged simultaneously.

Description
Sigma+ PCU is a solar power conditioning unit which is a single-phase output, Inverter system. It works as a Bi-directional inverter which means power will be exported into the grid or power will be imported from the Grid.
The Sigma+ PCU work in two operating conditions:
1. Stand-alone
2. Grid-Interactive
Stand-alone: Inverter operates from battery or array power source and produces AC output. Battery charged by solar (primary) & also from the grid (secondary). Since the usage of power from the grid is secondary, grid power is only used when solar power is absent or below a certain level and battery voltage level reduces up to battery low status. Working Modes: Smart, PCU & Hybrid
Grid-Interactive: Inverter operates from battery or array power source and produces AC output and also operates in parallel with the grid supply. Any excess solar power will be exported into the grid. Whenever sufficient solar power is not available to run the load, the required power is shared from the grid. The maximum power feed into the grid depends on the system rating. Battery charging automatically occurs from the grid to maintain the battery bank at its grid charging voltage.
